Scott tells us more, "I bought this car in the US and brought it to Canada in August of 2004. This car is a numbers matching 4-speed convertible loaded with tons of options. It's got power steering, power disc brakes, power locks, power windows, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, power antenna, 8-track tape player, reclining seats, factory tinted windows, and hideways. Warwick Blue 1969 GTO convertible owned by Mark Simiele from New Jersey. This was our Picture Of The Week for 11/27/05. Mark adds, "This photo was taken at the 2005 Garden State POCI Annual Fall show that is held every October at Sifford Pontiac/GMC in Bogota, New Jersey. Our club hosts a great show and this year we had almost 70 cars attend, somewhat less than previous years due to the raindate. I took first place in my class." This is a heavily optioned car.

The CWJ Classic Automobile Museum is pleased to present the exhibition Detroit Iron: Muscle Cars of the 1960s from March 18 through June 4, 2006, at the museum’s gallery located at 18 Claremont Road in Bernardsville, New Jersey. The exhibition explores the muscle car phenomenon from its roots in the high-performance cars of the 1950s to its demise with government controls and the energy crisis of the early 1970s. The influence of the muscle car on the automobile industry and the culture of the 1960s is captured through photographs, advertisements, and related memorabilia as well as through four important examples on loan to the museum: a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, a 1968 Ford Shelby GT 500, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, and a 1969 Pontiac GTO. The CWJ Classic Automobile Museum organizes ongoing, rotating installations of important American automobiles and art exhibitions that illustrate the role of the car in defining the social and economic climate of the country. The museum has a strong collection of significant American convertible automobiles from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, a changing selection of which are on display with those borrowed from local collectors, and aims to partner with other institutions to explore relevant topics of interest. The CWJ Classic Automobile Museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 – 5 pm, except for major holidays, and weekdays by appointment. Admission is free. Meet "Moody Blue". A 1969 GTO convertible owned by Carole Ray. This was our Picture Of The Week for 3/11/07. The car didn't always look this good. It was in non-running condition for 22 years. After a hard-fought restoration on the car, it is back on the road looking great. Carole wrote about her GTO in the April, 2006 "Smoke Signals" magazine, "The restoration of this beloved car has been a labor of trial & error, frustration, sometimes disappointment, sometimes mistakes, of joy and fulfillment, but most of all it has been a labor of LOVE! I wouldn’t have missed any part of it for the world! And my heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful family and friends who encouraged and cheered this wonderful car back to the street. The TIGER is back in her tank and she ROARS again!"
In February of 2007, Bill Sanders, the President of the Indy GTO Association says about Carole, "I don't think you will find too many females more passionate about GTO's than this lady who bought her '69 GTO brand friggin new and still owns it. Carole has been diagnosed with liver cancer. She is doing pretty well right now all things considered. Unfortunately, the cancer is in stage 4 which is quite serious. Carole has started chemo-therapy which will last the next several weeks. It is hoped that the chemo will attack the cancer cells and get things under control so perhaps other therapy can be applied. This Lady ROCKs and I sure hope a miracle happens and she is able to recover." PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
