He's looking for feedback from you, the viewer. I just noticed that he has the nose emblem from a 1968 GTO on his car. I wonder if it's an Endura bumper from a 1969 GTO?

This was our Picture Of The Week for 11/16/03. Brian commented, "I am the original owner, taking possession on March 6, 1969. After driving it for 106,000 miles, then sitting in a garage for almost 20 years, I began to work to get it back on the road about 5 years ago. I finally drove it for the first time in a LONG time this August 2003."

This was our Picture Of The Week for 3/28/04. He picked a great location to photograph this red car. Michael tells this story, "A friend of mine up in New Jersey bought this car on eBay two Christmas' ago. I had a similar car back in High School, and he sent this one down to me in Texas to "fix up" for him. Once seeing the car in person, we decided it needed more work than he was willing to invest in it, so I bought it as a toy. It is a true northern car, the fenders, quarters, and rear are full of bondo. The trunk has been patched... badly. It was originally a Sprint 6, but now had a 350 in it. I have no idea what year the 350 is, but the motor mounts are so rigged in it's hilarious. The dash is cracked, the door panels have been cut for speakers, and it has the ugliest carpet I've ever seen. And of course someone drilled into the console and mounted a Sun Tach. On the good side, the dual exhaust is brand new, and was done well. The seats are not ripped, and other than the speakers, the door panels are in good shape. The dash lights still work, as does the speedo and vents. It has power disc brakes, power steering, and a good heater. And the power top still works. So far I've put a new front bumper on it (the original was dented and rusty), put chrome tips on the exhaust, done a tune-up on the motor and a tranny service. I replaced the set of rusty ORANGE Rally wheels with a set of 14x7 Rally's that are painted correctly. Cleaned it up A LOT. I'm in the process of re-wiring the tail lights. Most of the wiring on the car is cut up, so I'm doing it little-by-little. The only way this car will ever be right would be to do a complete frame-off and replace nearly every body panel on it. But it runs too well and is too much fun to part it out. So for now I've just been putting the top down and enjoying it. I have a 2 year old son, and my wife already calls it "Eddie's Car", so I guess it will be our father/son project as he gets older."

The 1969 LeMans had different tail lights than the GTO and it had carryover 1968 side marker lights on the rear fenders. About the non-matching trunk lid, Michael adds "It's a '68 trunk lid. This car is a real mutt!"

This photo explains why you can't use a 1968 trunklid on a 1969 car. The opening for the tail lights has a different curve. Michael tells us, "A '68 trunk lid, rusty bumper, but the exhaust is good! Notice the LeMans emblem... or Mans emblem. My wife agrees it's a Mans car, as only a guy would put up with it! Ha!"
