The car is at a tire store. Click on the thumbnail image to see the fullsize version of THIS one! Looks like they selected the BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, a good choice. You're viewing a Black 1965 GTO hardtop owned by Terry Thompson from Lake Tapps, Washington. It has a 389 Tri-Power engine with a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. Terry has owned this GTO for 3 years. He added the American Racing mag wheels. It still has its original interior. Terry says, "It's a joy to drive." CLICK->

This website features photos of LeMans as well as GTO. Here is a Montero Red 1965 LeMans convertible owned by Craig Schauffert from Roseville, Minnesota. Craig tells us more, "I dragged this out of Plentywood Montana over 17 years ago. It sat without a top for two years in a field with only a tarp over it. The body was good with replacement of rear quarters and some minor rust. The floor pans and even the trunk were still good! It had never been screwed with so everything was and is stock. It still has the original 326 - 4bbl and two speed auto. There is still some work to do, but it does get the looks already." CLICK->

At one time, Jerry Hamilton owned this Montero Red 1965 GTO hardtop. Jerry asks, "I bought this car in 1984 and did a frame-off resto in 1985. It won its class at the GTOAA Nats in 1987 (with Rally Is). I sold it in the mid 90s to a Michigan classic car dealer and lost count of it. Anyone know its whereabouts today?" CLICK->
Here is a cherished photo. A blast from the past. This is Bill Stein back in 1971 in Alhambra, California. He was just 17. The car was a 389 Tri-Power, Muncie 4-speed, 4.33 Posi, high lift springs, and 10 coats of hand rubbed lacquer Metallic Root Beer brown paint. CLICK->
Fast forward to 2007. Bill Stein figures it's time to do another 1965 GTO. He just purchased two of them for $4,000. One car is full, the other is for parts. What color should Bill go with this time - Root Beer brown again? Click here to see the brown one he had when he was 17. CLICK->
This is recycling at its best. Bill's project 1965 is on a trailer and headed for better times. CLICK->
Burgundy 1965 GTO hardtop owned by John Wilson from South Carolina. John adds, "This is my second GTO. I always regretted selling my first one. My wife surprised me with this one on my birthday!"
Wow, what a birthday present. I hope my wife reads this and gets the idea to give me one for my birthday! CLICK->

Says Donald R. Shay, Sr. (Officershay81.@yahoo.com) - "Yes, I love this website. It gets my heart racing and I want to get another GTO. Back in 1976 I bought a 1970 GTO Judge for $1,000."
