Old picture of Bruce Cromwell's Palmetto Green 1965 GTO. He purchased it in September of 1965 from his Grandfather's Dealership in Greenville, Ohio. Here is another picture of Bruce's 65 GTO parked in front of his parent's house in the winter of 1966 after a big snowstorm. Bruce adds, "This was an automatic car with no positraction and I ran snow tires and drove it all winter. In 67, I traded it in for a 67 GTO HO 4-speed car. The guy that bought it was a small town cop that was getting tired of being outrun by the local kids. They took out the bucket seats and put in a bench seat for his family (auto was on the column). That car had one hell of a top end, the speedo would go clear back to zero!"
Look at all the tall TV towers behind each house. They must not have had cable TV on this street, and it was hard to get Dish Network back in 1966. CLICK->
Fontaine Blue 1965 GTO hardtop owned by Jim Roark from Texas. Jim comments, "I bought this car in Kansas City last year. It is a 3 owner Tri-Power, 4-speed car but did not have the original engine, tranny, or rear end. It now has a '65 YD code 389 Tri-Power, 4-speed and a Chevy 3.55:1 posi." CLICK->
Candy Brandywine 1965 GTO hardtop owned by George Pezoulas from Nepean, Ontario Canada. George tells this story, "I bought my GTO out of a barn where it had been stored for 18 years. I am the second licensed owner as far as was told. It came up to Canada in 1981 from the original owner in Arizona with only 32,000 miles. When I first saw the car in 1997, I was in awe because it was so clean - I
had to have it. I bought it in 1999 and did a full frame off restoration which lasted 6 months. The car has won numerous best of shows and has been placed on t-shirts, posters, and newspaper
articles. I love it. It has a numbers match 389 Tri-Power, automatic, Posi, factory air that blows cold, and a set of polished American mags." CLICK->

Bluemist Slate 1965 LeMans hardtop owned by GtoDon from North Carolina. GtoDon tells us more, "Had four dry rotting half flats on it, sitting in weeds, covered so long the paint had the fabric pattern in it, and wouldn't start. Monkey, monkey, fuel, air, fire... drove it home... add a late model Safari wagon wheels, and a 200R4 BOP tranny... bingo, a nice ride to work." CLICK->
