Burgundy 1965 GTO sport coupe owned by Dave Wadsworth. Can you guess where he lives? Yes, he's from Las Vegas, Nevada. Dave tells us, "This '65 Sport Coupe was purchased shortly after 9/11 from a friend's uncle. This is a salvaged car from the Redding, Californa area. I don't know how long it was in the yard, as all of the original options (Safe-T-Trak, wood wheel, Rally gauges, 389 Tri-Power) are long gone. The tired 350 needed replacement and I wanted a mild mannered cruiser. The car now features a Pontiac 455 with code #64 H.O. heads, Edelbrock RPM intake and cam, Performer 750 carb, TH400 3-speed with shift kit, stainless steel brakes, Eaton Detroit springs with 1" drop, big sway bars, and stock interior. Added this spring is a tiger-tail pinstripe with Arnie Beswick in mind." CLICK->
Burgundy 1965 GTO sport coupe on Fremont St. in Las Vegas during the June 2005 Las Vegas Centennial Cruise. The sign underneath the cowboy says "Souvenirs Gifts T-shirts". Back in 1952 this sign was on a real hotel and said only "GAMBLING" in tall lighted letters. This area is called The Fremont Street Experience, which is actually a pedestrian mall covered by a light canopy that features animated special effects once an hour. The cowboy's name is "Vegas Vic". Here is Dave with a local Las Vegas attraction taken at Centennial Cruise in June 2005. Dave comments, "It was a great time. There was nothing like being allowed to drive on Fremont
Street (which was still open when I moved here) and there was nothing like the hospitality extended to us from the casinos and operators of the Fremont Street Experience." CLICK->
