Matt Ritter was visiting a junkyard full of antique cars in southern New Jersey. This 1965 Tempest sport coupe had a 326ci engine and an automatic transmission. It's probably worth saving if you can dig it out from under all the pine needles. CLICK->

Bruce's Black Cherry 1965 GTO hardtop has some custom engine work. The valve covers were machined from a 65 pound block of aluminum. CLICK->
Bruce is working on the engine again. He says, "Time for a spring tuneup. 600 Hp does not last long without a going over in the winter." CLICK->

Nightwatch Blue 1965 GTO hardtop owned by Dante Cosentino from Lee's Summit, Missouri. Dante had this story to share, "I bought the car in May 2000 with 68K original miles, a set of Hurst wheels, M-T redlines, and a storage shed stacked with parts. It originally had a 389 4-bbl M20 4-spd 3.36 posi. Now it sports a 462 Richmond 5-speed and a 12-bolt 3.55 posi. It's a numbers matching motor, transmission,
and rear along with a whole slew of original parts are all still with
the car, including the original steel wheels and redlines. It sold new in '65 at Byron Stout Pontiac in Wichita, Kansas. The car is the most documented muscle car I have ever seen. I have the original window sticker, bill of sale, POP, manual, and every oil change from '65 to the mid-80's documented. It still has all the original panels and is arrow straight. I fell in love with the car the first time I saw it, and I had just parted with my '70 Chevelle SS396, so it only made sense to grab it. It's bested a 12.87 @ 101MPH." CLICK->

Says Tom Harold (harold2.@iquest.net) - "This is the ONLY place to go for great GTO content! (And it's cool that it's based in my home state of Indiana. "There's more than corn" and all that stuff.)"
