Brad Spears tells us the tale of this 1965 GTO. The first picture doesn't look so bad, but the rest of the pics are wrinkled sheetmetal! Brad says: "The pictures are from the summer of 1988 in Victoria, Texas. I was 16 and it was my first car. We bought it for $1500 from a friend that was in a bind and had it repainted. It was a solid 88K mile original car. I was 3rd owner. It had 389, power glide, ps, pb, ac. Interior was like new (with exception of missing drivers door lower carpet on panel). About 3 weeks after I turned 16 me and a buddy were out crusin. About midnight, heading home, a car pulled out into a turn lane blocking my lane. As I slowed, a guy in a 4x4 Blazer (full size) with ranch hand bumper tried to change lanes but couldn't. He rearended me, pushing me into car that was in turn lane. Car was totalled. The hit put waves through the front fenders & doors. I kept the car and sold it to a guy who was going to use my drivetrain and interior for his 1965 GTO project." CLICK->

Tiny 1965 (66 or 67) GTO artwork found on the printed circuit board of an older 330 megabyte computer hard drive made by Maxtor. This one has a number 3 on the license plate. I've also seen one with IV on the plate. In October of 2004, I was watching a TV show called "Ripley's Believe It Or Not". They did a feature on a guy who collects microscopic images that are "hidden" on circuit boards such as this. Many of the hidden images are too small to see with the naked eye. The man who was featured on the show had collected and photographed 350 micro images of hidden cartoons, sayings, logos, and doodles. He used a powerful microscope to photograph one micro image on a circuit board that said "If you can read this, you're too close." CLICK->

Says Antonio Carrillo (acarrillo.@cabq.gov) -"GM and Pontiac should read the information to see how to build the GTO's WE WANT for the future."
