Ron Isinger from Okotoks Alberta Canada is doing a frame off restoration on his Montero Red 1966 GTO hardtop. Makes me want to grab my credit card and my Eastwood catalog. Look at this rare opportunity to view the various finishes used on the metal parts. There's Chassis Black, clearcoat, natural metal color, Pontiac Engine Blue, etc. CLICK->
Ron found the build sheet paper for his 1966 GTO on top of the gas tank. - typically dirty, but there! There were several locations where the factory workers liked to stash the build sheet. Sometimes they put them under the carpet, on top of the glovebox, above the gas tank, under the seatcushion springs, under the backseat, etc. Once in a while there will be build sheets from two different cars found in there. This is the body which will later go back on the finished frame. CLICK->

Montero Red 1966 GTO, rear end view. Ron's GTOs invoice says it was sold in zone 38 by dealer 001. Ron comments, "I bet Zone 38 is special order Canada. My car is a 03D7 and I have a document showing a registration change from Alberta , Canada to British Colombia, Canada September 13, 1966." We are collecting dealer zones and codes here. CLICK->

Vintage pictures of a Reef Turquoise 1966 GTO hardtop taken in 1966! John Greco sent these in along with this story, "My father bought this GTO brand new from a dealer in Hackensack, NJ that is no longer around. It was a 4spd manual with the Pontiac 4bbl engine. He got into an accident while driving the car once. The car was hit on the drivers side between the fender and front of the driver's door; the damaged was repaired. My father had the GTO til 1972, when he sold it to his cousin after he bought a new Grand Prix, before I was born. I wish could have held onto it, but these pictures still capture that once perfect grace." CLICK->
One nice looking GTO! CLICK->
A site visitor named VER sent in this picture of his 66 GTO APATCHIE Pickup. This is a very strange photo manipulation, not a real truck. CLICK->
Steve Duryee from Utah tries his hand at animating this 1966 GTO pickup truck. The air must be different in Utah. CLICK->
