Here's Stan Kaminski in front of his Flambeau Burgundy 1968 LeMans. With 123,000 miles on it, he is treating the car to a new timing chain and gears. He ended up pulling out the engine and transmission altogether. For the next three weeks he would come home from building cars at a GM assembly line and then go to work on the car. Stan recommends replacing your factory NYLON-coated gears with steel ones. You can read more about his timing chain story in the April 1997 issue of The Legend, the official publication of the GTO Association of America.CLICK->
