Red 1968 Tempest hardtop owned by Scott Fitzgerald from Belgrade, Maine. Scott tells us, "I got this car in 1983. It had a 350ci engine with a 2 speed auto transmission. I put in a 4 speed manual and a 4.11 posi rear end out of a 1967 GTO. The car is presently in pieces in what you could call a 'frame off', but my wife calls it a pile of junk." CLICK->

Vintage Picture of a Verdoro Green 1968 GTO hardtop that was owned by Bryan Allen from Dunlap, Illinois. Bryan tells this story, "In March of ’68, I took delivery of a brand new GTO from Travis Cadillac-Pontiac in Peoria, Illinois. The car of my desire! - Verdoro Green, black interior, Rally II’s (had to have them swapped off another car on he lot – no white walls and wheel covers were allowed!), His-Hers automatic, AM radio w/ rear speaker, and interestingly - no hideaway head lamps. I loved the car, but gave in to the insurance nightmare of the early ‘70’s, and traded it for something else. Won’t mention what at this time! For 35 years I’ve repeatedly kicked myself in the butt for getting rid of the car. I’m now reaching a point in my life at which, for the right price, I’d buy another one. Not sure if I’m ready for a restoration project, but I’m always looking for a duplicate for what I had. For what it’s worth, I’ve attached a photo that I had scanned from an old Polaroid picture. I need to have it (the picture) detailed to show the red lines, but other than that, it’s almost a perfect reproduction of my car." CLICK->
Alpine Blue 1968 GTO hardtop owned by Dan from Illinois. Dan tells us, "This is a picture of a 1968 GTO I just purchased. It is documented and numbers matching throughout. Its a very nice driver. I sure I wish it had hidden headlights, a hood tach, and the Ram Air II engine but I am glad just to get in the game." It is pictured in the seller's barn. I want a barn like that. CLICK->

Red 1968 LeMans sport coupe owned by Peter Saless. Peter had this to say, "I bought this car when I was 14 in 1980. The original engine had spun three main bearings so it was replaced with a 455 and a turbo 350 transmission. It is a factory air car with bucket seats." CLICK->

Verdoro Green 1968 Tempest sport coupe owned by Jeff Noecker. Jeff tells us, "I recently bought this 68 Pontiac Tempest from the original owner. It has a 350 V8 and just over 51,000 original miles.
It was garaged its whole life, so no rust. It was dirty and in need of some restoration. I now have it running strong with some new tires. I hope for a new paint job, new vinyl, and new carpet in the future." CLICK->
This is an award presented to a dealership. It is a rare sight that was seen on eBay. It's got a 1968 GTO on one side and a plaque titled "Delorean Award" on the other. I was bidding on it. During the bidding process, the item was withdrawn and all bids were cancelled! The seller said that the item was claimed by a member of the family it came from. I never cared for sellers who would end an auction item early after bids had already been taken on it. Since I saw this item up for bids, I have seen a couple others. They sell for about $100. I would pay that for one to hang on my wall in the UltimateGTO.com computer room. Anyone got one to sell? CLICK->
Verdoro Green 1968 GTO hardtop owned by Mike Sanders from Flower Mound, Texas. Mike tells us "This is the spitting image of the car I had in my late teens / early 20's. Actually, this one is in much better condition. I sold the first Goat in 1995 to help buy my wife's wedding ring. I found this car last year (2003) and I had to have it. I've since gone through the wiring, replaced the gas tank, upgraded the suspension to more modern specs, and added the Torq Thrust wheels.
