Here are some updated pictures of Ken's Verdoro Green 1968 GTO hardtop. Ken has been busy. He tells us about his modifications, "I rebuilt the front and rear suspension with PST polygraphite and Moog components. I boxed the rear control arms and added a '70 GTO rear sway bar. Up front I swapped the old steering box for a rebuilt quick ratio unit. While I had everything apart, I added '69-style power front disc brakes and aluminum rear brake drums off an early '80's Hurst/Olds. I replaced all the old brake lines with all new stainless reproductions."CLICK->

Verdoro Green 1968 GTO hardtop, right rear view. Ken contines, "Out back I had the rear bumper rechromed and had the gas tank sealed and cleaned while I cut out the old trunk pan and welded in a reproduction. I replaced the metal fuel lines and the fuel sending unit while I was at it."CLICK-> 
Verdoro Green 1968 GTO hardtop, interior view. Ken tells us about changes inside, "I recovered the seats, replaced the carpet and restored the console. In addition I also had the dash rechromed, the steering wheel re-grained by Performance Years and restored the gauges and clock. I added a set of carbon fiber AutoMeter gauges to keep tabs on oil pressure and temperature."CLICK-> 
Many changes under the hood. Ken explains, "My car now features the original 400 bored .040 with forged TRW pistons, the original #16 heads with stainless Ferrea valves, Jim Butler roller rockers with BBC studs, an 068 grind cam, and an aluminum FlowKooler water pump. The original Quadrajet and distributor (with Mallory Unilite conversion) were rebuilt and tuned by Schornack Racing. On the exhaust side I've got Ram Air Restoration Enterprises Ram Air manifolds going into a 2.5" mandrel bent Pypes system with an x-pipe flowing through Goerlich Xlerators and exiting at reproduction chrome exhaust tips. I replaced the stock torque converter with a custom built unit from Continental Converters in Southern California."CLICK->

Green 1968 GTO hardtop owned by Terry Pehrson. This was our Picture Of The Week for 1/27/02. Terry has this story to tell, "I am sort of the original owner, my car was purchased new by my father in December 1968, one of the early ones. I remember taking trips in it as a little kid. I got the car when I was 16 and have had it for 21 years now, it was my first car. How many people still have their first car? Has the standard 400ci/350hp GTO engine, turbo 400 transmission, and a 2.93 single legger (because A/C) rearend. The car is A/C, P/S, P/B, Hideaway Headlights, black vinyl top, black interior car. Everything works and is numbers matching original, except converted to single piston style disc brakes. The engine was rebuilt to original specs at 109K, now has only 142K on car. The rransmission and rear are original. It has a rebuilt front suspension with polygraphite. The car was never wrecked except small repair
over driver's quarter. It was repainted 21 years ago and now needs another paint job. The vinyl top has gone to pot and that will be included with the new paint job. The car spent its first 22 years in California, so there is very little rust. It's not much for drag racing, but is a great freeway cruiser."CLICK->
