Gray primer 1968 GTO hardtop owned by Mike Lockmiller from Hemet, California. Mike tells us more, I bought this sweet 68 GTO 1/12/06. She has a rebuilt 400, Turbo 400 stall speed trans, pw-pb-ac-ps, hood tach, spoiler, Rally wheels, His & Hers shifter, and a 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 Posi. She needs some TLC
and paint. What color should I paint her?." CLICK->
Gray primer 1968 GTO hardtop, rear end view. And there's your typical alignment problem with (all) reproduction spoilers. The left side of it is moulded wrong so the angle is "high" where it meets the car. This can be corrected somewhat by shortening and angling the spoiler support on the left side. Pushing down on the "high" side of the spoiler does nothing more than crack the finish. Observe the right end of the spoiler. It meets the contours of the car perfectly. CLICK->

Some vintage pictures of Brad's 1968 GTO hardtop taken in 1974. He said he had the Starsky and Hutch stripe down the sides before the TV show was on the air. It has a modified spoiler, sidepipes, and a 454 rat engine under the hood. The mud flaps say, "I'm a sport wana play around?" Brad has since traded this 1968 GTO for a white 1970 Judge, which he still owns. CLICK->
Here's a photo from a long time ago. Richard Robison bought this Verdoro Green 1968 GTO new. He took this picture in December of 1968. Richard tells us more, "It was factory ordered in March of 1968, delivered in April, and traded in June of 1973 with 83,000 miles on it. I replaced horrible Rochester Quadrajet three times before installing a Holley spread bore double pumper six months before I traded it. It had drivability problems with the Holley before I traded it. Wish I hadn't." CLICK->

Here is what Andrew's 1968 GTO hardtop looked like before the restoration. Andrew explains, "My Dad, Art, and I stand in front of the 68 the day it was purchased (Nov. 1, 2003). We picked the car up in Ontario, New York from the previous owner who had the car for 22 years. The car had been frame on restored around the mid 1980's by the same shop that restored my Dad's 67." Says Michael Santana in the Navy - "I'm being deployed to IRAQ in July and should (Good Lord Willing) have the funds to get a 2005 GTO when I come home. Anyway, thanks to you, the Mrs., your staff, etc. for putting on the GREATEST HOMAGE TO THE FINEST CARS EVER BUILT BY AMERICAN HANDS!"
