Here's an older set of photos which was posted in 2005 when the car was painted Fontaine Blue. The interior was black at this time. Brian tells us more, "I bought this GTO off of eBay last August. It had an Oldsmobile engine in it and four mismatched wheels. The price was right and it was a good candidate for a quick restoration. At the GTO western regional meet in San Pedro, California I caught wind of David Howitt of So Cal GTO who had two cars in the show. Since hiring him, he rebuilt the front end, put in a fresh 400 with #96 heads, new turbo 400 tranny, front disk brake conversion, new gauges, Cragar SS wheels with spinner caps, Walker Dynomax mufflers and a host of other goodies. This is my first GTO and I am having a great time with it." CLICK->

Fontaine Blue 1966 GTO hardtop. The first thing a lot of owners did when they got these cars new was to replace the stock wheels with ones like these Cragar SS wheels. Except they were 15 inch versions. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
