I saw this car in 2003 at a Cracker Barrel in Ohio. It was for sale, so I felt free to approach it and look inside. Evidently, it was owned by Trish whom worked for the restaurant. Keep in mind, these photos were snapped in 2003 and the car certainly has a new owner by now and is no longer for sale. So no need to fill out the 'Comment' section with poorly-worded requests to purchase this car. The first one that usually comes in will go like this: 'Please to sale me this awsom car, how munch?' or 'I wants the car in your photo. Will you accept an money orders from Croatia?' or 'I know it's not for sale but does it have the all-original engine making it all-original because I want all-original.' CLICK->
The car had a nice big "For Sale" sign in it. That's what attracted my attention. Note that the photos are from 2003 and the car is not still for sale. CLICK->
The car wore a vintage 1966 plate on the front. That's a chihuahua dog statue in the back window. CLICK->
The car was parked in the Cracker Barrel parking lot. The painted slogan on the trunk lid says "COLOR ME GONE". CLICK->
This shot shows the paint condition and an interior that is complete. It also shows the owner's affinity for Arby's. There's Arby's in the front and Arby's in the back. CLICK->
Scott Croghan owns this Blue Charcoal 1966 GTO hardtop. He also owns the red 1967 LeMans convertible next to it. He restored his car with help from an UltimateGTO.com sponsor, Pypes. Scott tells us more about his GTO, "I just finished a year long restoration on the car. I've had it for over 20 years. It has an all original 389 Tri-Power with the 4 speed. Updates include front power disk brakes and a .30 over on the fresh engine. Pypes stainless 2.5 crossover dual exhaust makes great power and even better noise!" CLICK->

Looking up the driver's side. Nice and straight! CLICK->
It has the dark blue interior. There was also a turquoise blue interior offered on the 1966 GTO. CLICK->
Under the hood is a Tri-Power engine. 1966 was the last year the Tri-Power engine was offered on the GTO from the factory. CLICK->
Born Great! Red 1966 GTO convertible owned by Ken Farmer. Ken tells us more, "My 66 GTO is painted with a tri-coat system. The red color is not an original GTO color. Under the hood it is powered with a 455 CI engine with headers of course. It has a Muncie 4-speed transmission and still
sports the original white interior that it was born with." CLICK->

Tom Huck just purchased this 1966 GTO hardtop. Tom tells us more, "This is how I bought this car. In 1985 the young man who owned it was
killed on the family farm and for the last 25 years the car has sat where it was parked with the keys still in the ignition. I am going to see if it can be brought back to life. I am curious about the numbers. The title is correct and the vin matches the vin tag but it has 37 under model. In 66 that was a LeMans but the body tag under the hood has 42 meaning it is a GTO. In 65 the gto and the LeMans shared the code 37 in the vin. Did this carry over to 1966? This car was built 2nd week of April."
