Vintage shot of a black 1966 GTO convertible owned by dcbaum@charter.net's Dad. His son adds, "It had the 389 Tri-Power and 4-speed. He owned it before I was born, so I only know the stories he has told me of how special it was. As a teenager I dreamed of finding one just like this. I am now in my 30's and still
trying to save $$'s to get the right one."

Montero Red 1966 GTO convertible owned by David & Anne Short from Vidor, Texas. David tells us, "We recently brought the GTO to this state of restoration. The car has a recently rebuilt 389 with 3 deuces. It has new Montero Red paint and a parchment interior. The car has Rally I wheels, Rally dash, automatic with console, and vacuum gauge on console. It has the original AM/FM radio, PS, PB and custom sports steering wheel to name a few of the options. We have a 67 Lemans convertible and were looking for a GTO. We joined a car club and one of the members had one for sale that he had for ten years. He had done very little in the way of restoration. I told
him I would be interested and buying the car. He gave me a price and I told him to give me one year to pay off some bills. A year later, it was mine. The car runs and drives good and has lots of power."
