Blue 1966 GTO hardtop junker in a Hawaii parking lot view #1. Scott Holten sent in these pictures. Here is the story in Scott's words,
"The picture of that car was taken in June of 1984 at the Pearl Harbor Naval Submarine Base...Oahu. In the backgroung is the Auto Repair shop on the base. You should pay it a visit. At least when my '67 GTO and I were in Hawaii, that shop was very well outfitted with tools and service bays available for the interested serviceman or DOD employee. True, there are no palm trees to be seen though! The only other GTO's that I knew of there were from out of state and owned by a sailor and a marine. I bought a front bumper that was on a car in Hawaii. The car had been rolled on it's top by the owner as a fun way to remove the starter! No kidding, that is what he told me. Too many Samoan friends I think! I bought the bumper from him for $10. The amount that he claimed he needed for some 'Bud'. After talking to him for just a minute or so I realised he was not referring to beer!"
