Ron Isinger from Okotoks Alberta Canada is doing a frame off restoration on his Montero Red 1966 GTO hardtop. Makes me want to grab my credit card and my Eastwood catalog. Look at this rare opportunity to view the various finishes used on the metal parts. There's Chassis Black, clearcoat, natural metal color, Pontiac Engine Blue, etc.CLICK->
Ron found the build sheet paper for his 1966 GTO on top of the gas tank. - typically dirty, but there! There were several locations where the factory workers liked to stash the build sheet. Sometimes they put them under the carpet, on top of the glovebox, above the gas tank, under the seatcushion springs, under the backseat, etc. Once in a while there will be build sheets from two different cars found in there.CLICK->
This is the body which will later go back on the finished frame.CLICK->
Here the finished body meets the finished frame.CLICK->
Ron has the front fender, grille, and hood on.CLICK->
Another view of Ron's 1966 GTO restoration project. He's got a Tri-power engine and now Rally I wheels.CLICK->
Headlights work. Looks like Ron is nearly done with his frame off restoration.CLICK->
