This is what's left of a red 1966 GTO after a brush fire. This was found on an internet junk yard that adveristed it as a "special edition toaster model" with very few salvageable parts. This one is sold. This internet junk yard is on my Huge List of GTO's for Sale which you can obtain by request.

Palmetto Green 1966 LeMans hardtop owned by John Mc Vady from Chicago, Illinois. John tells this story, "Our friend found this car in Smoke Signals and went from Illinois to California to purchase her for a parts car for his 1964 GTO. When he saw the condition of the car he decided not to use her for parts but to purchase her so she would stay a LeMans. He shipped her back to Illinois and we purchased the car from him, since he didn't have time for another project car. This car was purchased from the original who we e-mailed every week. She bought the car brand new in Nov 1965 from Majestic Pontiac in west LA. The car was manufactured in Fremont, California. The car had appeared in a Bud Light commercial and Unsolved Mysteries in the early 90's. I restored it myself with the exception of the paint."

Blue 1966 GTO sport coupe owned by Gary Gerber. This one has red fender liners. They were an optional item that was not ordered very often. The liners are made from a flexible one-piece plastic that bolts to the underside of all the fenderwells. They are now finally available as a reproduction item, if you want to add this option to your 1966 or 1967 car.

Gary's blue 1966 GTO sport coupe, front end view. You'll notice that the 1966 grilles look different from the 1967 grilles. The 1966 grilles were painted black like this, while the 1967 grilles had a bright criss-cross pattern on them.
