In this shot you can see the automatic shifter. When a center console was not ordered, you just got the chrome trimmed boot. This one appears to be a Hurst boot, but I'm not sure if it's original.

Gray Metallic 1974 GTO owned by Daniel Newell from Drummond Island, Michigan. Daniel had this to say about his car, "I got this GTO about 6 months ago from a guy in Wisconsin. I had a nice lifted Jeep Cherokee which I traded the car. The GTO wasn't driveable because it needed brakes and a tune-up really really bad. When I got it home, I looked at the title and it hadn't been registered since 1988! It has been sitting in a garage for a while and the paint was flaking off of it. I rebuilt the carb, fixed the brakes and the exhaust, and had it repainted. It is great now. The motor is a Chevy 350 with a street/strip cam, bored .30 over with flat top pistons, Torker II intake and a Holley carb. It has headers straight to dual Glasspacks.
The interior is very nice. The only problem is the driver's seat is ripping along the seams. The on/off heater control knobs didn't want to move and it broke off, but I still have the blower controls. That's about it, Oh and the hood scoop was put on it."

Pearl white 1974 GTO getting some more air at the Finals at Norwalk in 2002! I visited this modern facility in 2002 and enjoyed it very much. Norwalk, Ohio is home to the Tri-Power Nationals sponsored by Ames. This track has everything; stores, restaurants, camping, nice showers, and bigfat ice cream for a DOLLAR! They're practically giving away the ice cream, what a deal! I plan to attend this event every year.

Vintage photo of a green 1974 LeMans that was owned by Mike Tidaback from New Jersey. Mike sold his 1967 GTO for this car in 1985. Mike describes the LeMans, "It was a 350 2-bbl car with factory 4-speed and a bench seat. I sold that car in 1991 or so. I never have seen another one like it. It was a plain LeMans with the 4-speed. Rare. It had AC, manual steering, AM-FM radio, and power disc brakes. It also had a tach and gauges in dash." A picture of Mike's 1967 GTO can be seen in our 1967 Parking Lot.
