Gray 1974 GTO owned by Henry of Amery, Wisconsin. The car has a 3-speed manual transmission and a 350 cubic inch engine. The engine has a street & strip cam, Torker II intake, Hooker headers, with forged flat top pistons. Henry has this for sale. CLICK->
This black 1974 LeMans is owned by Gregory Wise from Mount Prospect, Illinois. Here's what Greg had to say, "This is the first car I ever owned. I bought it 23 years ago (1979) and I have restored it twice in my garage. Each restoration was a little more complete than the last but its hard to find parts for this car. Recently, the engine was rebuilt and the 455 now puts out 551 HP and 579 ft/lbs of torque. Quarter mile times are in the mid 12s and with slicks I hope to hit a high 11. This is a great car to cruise the streets. This car came with a 4.11 rear end, turbo 400 transmision, moon roof, louvered windows, 455 engine and the hood scoops. All this from the factory. It's a shame that they don't build these cars any more!"
This car has the NACA hood scoops. NACA was the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, which in 1958 became NASA. Does anyone know how Pontiac referred to these scoops in their literature? Did they call them NACA or NASA in print? CLICK->
