Red 1974 GTO, right front view. I think the body-colored side mirrors were much more attractive than the little chrome mirrors on previous years. Besides the fact that they match the car, they stayed adjusted better than the older ones. GM must have saved a ton of money with these bullet-style mirrors. They started using them across most of their brands.CLICK->

This is a black 1974 GTO owned by Mark Webb from Salisbury, North Carolina. This was our Picture Of The Week for 3/4/07. I did a stained glass effect on it! Pretty cool, eh? You'll notice that I did not obscure the "GTO" logo or the Pontiac arrowhead on the nose. I wanted those to stand out.CLICK->

A peek under the hood. Whole the owner did not supply any information about this engine setup, we can take a look and learn a little. Up top appears to be a Holley carb. There are also some performance parts by K&N, Moroso, Accel, and MSD. Look over to the right at the little gold-colored cylinder on the inner wheelhouse. That is a front brake line locker, good for doing quick launches or lengthy burnouts.CLICK->

Red 1974 GTO owned by Les. He just finished a restoration. This is our Picture Of The Week for 9/23/07. Les tells us about his car,
"We did a rotisserie frame off restoration of my 74 GTO. We started in the beginning of May '07 and by the beginning of September, I took it on a 500 mile road trip. The car is PHS documented 4 speed car. I have bill history and names of all previous owners. It was sold new in Yorkton, Saskatchewan at Eftoda Pontiac (which is no longer in business). I am the fifth owner. I bought the car in Snow Lake, Manitoba, two years ago, which is 450 miles north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The restoration was done evenings and weekends and full time on my holidays by myself and my friend who did the grunt work (sandblasting, etc.). I replaced the original motor and trans. (which stays with the car) with a completely rebuilt '73 - 455 HO motor and brand new supercase Muncie M22 W trans. The entire front suspension other than the center link was replaced brand new. New 2 1/2" exhaust with Hooker headers and Dynomax mufflers, original 3.08 posi rearend, front buckets and headliner redone, and the list goes on and on. Paint is Spieshecker base/clear high solids, Buccaneer Red. At least a thousand hours labor and both of our wives starting to use our names as curse words. Car is not finished yet, you know that fine detailing that needs to be done and never seems to end. Absolutely enjoyed restoring this GTO especially this year being my favorite of all GTO's."CLICK-> 
White 1974 GTO custom coupe owned by Bill Dunne from San Marcos, California. This was our Picture Of The Week for 4-13-08. Bill adds, "This resto took FOREVER! I told my wife I would only use commission checks for this, which were few and far between over the last three years. But, it is finished, finally - pretty much a concourse resto, why? - Who the heck knows!"CLICK->
