This was the Picture Of The Week for 10/3/99 Camping Excitement from Don McKay from Surrey, BC Canada. For those weekends when you want to go racing and your family wants to go camping. In 2010, Don described his unusual tent like this: "I have two cars and now I have two tents and YES they were a factory option and their were different styles too. The last tent I bought is from an Omega and it is Orange and fastens on with velcro that you attach in the channel of the hatch and two zippers one down each side where as the Yellow tent that went on the Ventura/GTO and Nova (that hurt) attached with straps with rubber tipped catches that went around the rear window sills and under the lower body and bumper to hold it down. The yellow tent zipped down the center and then two two zippers at the bottom to the outside. There is also a privacy blind that goes on the inside around the seats and blocks the rear windows so no one can see in from the front. Both styles had this. The Orange one is stamped Omega mini camper - the yellow has no stamps. The Yellow tent is MUCH better engineered - even the flaps for the vent windows are zippers where the Omega is velcro." CLICK->
