Vintage photo of Jon Burdett's first car, a Gold 1970 GTO hardtop, that he purchased in 1981. Jon tells us more, "The license plate
read, "7T GOAT." It was fully loaded: 400cid, th350 automatic transmission, sport wood wheel, air conditioning, power windows, power brakes, power radio attenna, rear window defogger, remote trunk release, and those were the original Goodyear Polyglass G70-14's. I absolutely loved this car, and wish I still had it. I sold the car in 1988 with 179k on odometer and for $1000 more than I paid. I also have the 1969 Matador Red Judge on this site. I still have that one!" You can see pictures of his Judge with the Advanced Picture Searcher loaded with year=1969, model=Judge, and owner=burdett.

Rick continues, "Automatic transmission is the only downside for me, but as you as you can tell from the pictures, the ladies love'em no matter how you shift'em"

This is the BEFORE picture of Lance Armstrong's 1970 GTO convertible. It's before TLC's "Overhaulin" redid it. The "Overhaulin'" show first aired the night of 11/30/04. It was originally owned by Jerry Stillman (pictured) who sold it to Sheryl Crow. She gave it to Lance Armstrong. The Stillman family is friends with the Crow family. Sheryl rode in the car many times when she was younger. We've got a whole set of pictures of this GTO being overhauled. Click on the Parked in the 1970 Lot link under the image to see them.

Here's Lance Armstrong's 1970 GTO sitting in the Overhaulin garage were it will be re-created in only 7 days. During the Overhaulin show "the owner gets tricked and the car gets tricked out". They usually trick the owner (mostly regular non-celeberty people) into believing that their car was stolen with the help of a family member or friend. The car gets restyled and updated by the large Overhaulin team.
