Red 1970 GT-37 pictures sent in from two site visitors. This is a rare car. The T-37 and GT-37 were options on the Tempest hardtop and sport coupe body series. This car was sold new in the Omaha, Nebraska area and is still owned by the original owner who restored the car. It's got the Sport Stripe option which was really just a 1969 Judge stripe. The stripe is listed as a trim option on the 1970 LeMans Sport and was available only in white-red-black. It could also be installed on any 1970 GTO. This picture was taken at the 2003 POCI Convention in Collinsville, Illinois. CLICK->

Looking down the left side of this red 1970 GT-37 hardtop. This one has trim-ring-less Rally II wheels with original type Firestone Wide Oval tires. CLICK->
Close up of the all the emblems on the front fenders. The 1970 GT-37 came standard with the 350ci V8 engine. CLICK->
Here's a shot of that 350ci V8 engine under the hood of this red 1970 GT-37. Unlike the GTO, the GT-37 had painted valve covers and air cleaner cover. CLICK->
This GT-37 has a bench front seat and a manual transmission with floor mounted shifter. Look at all those seat belts. There are two each for the driver and passenger, one for the lap and one for the shoulder harness. The fifth one is for the center passenger. The wearing of seat belts was helpful in this car, as it keeps you from sliding across the slick vinyl bench seat in hard turns. Armorall is not a good idea with this type of seat. CLICK->
The rear seat is similar to the front seat in this 1970 GT-37. There's only three seat belts back here. CLICK->
Let's peek inside the trunk of this red 1970 GT-37. CLICK->
Mint Turquoise 1970 GTO 455HO convertible owned by Don Savage from Provo, Utah. Don comments, "One of 241 built. 77,051 miles. I have had this car since 1970 (34 years) and have been the only owner and driver. It was always covered and garaged. It still has the original paint, interior even windshield. The engine and Turbo Hydramatic transmission have never been out of the car or rebuilt. For options it has; Power steering, disc brakes, windows, door locks and seats, original wood tilt steering wheel, A/C, Rally gauges, Rally II wheels, and Safe-T-Track 12 bolt differential. I have window sticker, protect-o-plate, brochures. It drives like a dream. I have enjoyed this car every day from age 16 to 50. Can you believe it?" CLICK->

Mint Turquoise 1970 GTO convertible, right rear view. Judging from the snow on the ground, it's probably not the type of day to drive around with the top down. CLICK->

Says Gene Bragalone (gbragalone.@yahoo.com) - "You seem to need to addresss three diferent main reader types and you do it well. The "original" fans, the "Just get by" group, and my favorite, the folks who like to look almost original but like to have it perform well so will do things like scrap the junk ignition and ... install different distributors."
