15 year-old Frank Middleton just bought his first car [in 2001]. It is a 1970 LeMans Sport Coupe. He's in Rhode Island. It came from the original owner, being garaged 28 of its 30 years with 60,000 true miles on the 250 6 cylinder. It has a 3 speed automatic with bucket seats and is totally original with green on green. He is going to paint it the original color, put in a stereo and Cragars. Frank's dad drives a '57 chevy 2 door wagon with a 327 which is an unrestored daily driver. CLICK->
Frank sends us updated photos of his 1970 LeMans Sport coupe. He's performed a frame-off restoration. The engine has been redone and can now do the quarter at 12.4 at 109mph. Drivetrain mods include: TH350 transmission with shift kit, Neal Chance 3000 converter, Strange chromemoly driveshaft, BOP 10-bolt 3.55 limited slip rear, 13 inch front and 12 inch rear brakes and suspension from Wilwood, boxed chassis, factory welds redone, Edelbrock rear arms with adjustable uppers, Eibach springs, SC+C stage 2-plus, 1-1/4 inch front bar and a 7/8 inch rear bar,
Edelbrock shocks, and Torq-Thrust Wheels 17x8 255/45 front and 17x9.5

The engine is a 388ci Chevy with a Lunati crank & rods, Weisco pistons, 10.8:1 compression, 2.02 GM heads ported & polished, the cam has 507 lift/235 duration at .050/108, 1969 Z28 intake, 750 VS carburetor, HEI ignition, 1-3/4 Dougs headers, and a 3-inch oval X-pipe with Spintech
