Fathom Blue 1967 GTO hardtop, front end view. This was the second production year for this bodystyle, and people all over the country were getting turned on by it. There were 81,722 GTOs produced this year. The 1967 version featured more sophisticated grillework that shined. The hood scoop helped define this as a muscle car in people's minds immediately. It made a lasting impression. CLICK->

White 1967 LeMans hardtop owned by Bill from Alabama. It's got the 326 in it. Bill tells us, "It has an 8-track cassette stereo that actually works! I put dual exhaust pipes and glass packs on it (grrrr!). It's got centerline rims and I have the original Cragars too. I also added air shocks to the back end to raise it up 2 inches (the old shocks were shot and I was bottoming out)." CLICK->

We've got a winner! Metallic red 1967 GTO convertible owned by Paul from Annapolis, Maryland. This one has Rally I wheels, a hood tach, pinstripes and vinyl body side mouldings. Paul tells us, "My Grandfather won this GTO in a church raffle in the mid '70's. When he brought it home it was Linden Green, and in desperate need of a restoration. Since then, it has been our ongoing project and common love. Growing up, I can remember many times it seemed we had nothing in common, yet we could still get together and crawl under this car for hours as 'Pals'. God willing, I'll have these experiences again with my children some day!" CLICK->

1967 GTO hardtop parts car owned by Matthew Ritter. Matthew comments, "Here’s another one saved from the crusher. It’s a real '67 GTO hardtop. Purchased by a relative of mine about 10 years ago for $700, and used to clone a ’67 Lemans. It's now stored in my uncle's junkyard with a few other old Pontiacs I'm keeping around. Original colors were Signet Gold on Gold, painted black sometime in the '70s. It’s a pretty rare and complete car: factory 2bbl automatic with A/C and 12-bolt open rear. Has lots of other options too: PS, PB, PA, reverb, rear defrost, buckets and console. Too far gone for resto, I am afraid, there is really nothing left behind the rear window. I guess I will pick at it for parts for other projects." PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
