CLICK-> junk 67 LeMans Has viewer comments Mel Hedrick of Mel's Drive In, Racing & Restorations, Inc. purchased a junkyard containing this 1967 326 4-speed LeMans. It didn't have much of an exciting story other than the owners wife gave birth in it sometime around 1975. The owner couldn't get the smell out of the car so he left it parked at the camp ground where they lived at the time. It was left there after they moved and the Police had it hauled away once it was abandoned.

He just got it from his in-laws. It was garaged for 30 years with just 27k miles on the clock. This GTO has the Tempest "Sprint" stripe and lettering on the sides. They must have been put on sometime after it left the factory floor.

You don't see that many cars with the Rally stripes still on them. They usually get canned during a repaint. They could be picked up from the dealer as a kit.

Says Bob Branson (kbrat.@adelphia.net) - "I have a 67 GTO which I haven't driven for a month, I refuse to drive on salty roads. Your site is helping me break my cabin fever. Keep up the good work."
