Blue 1966 GTO sport coupe, interior view. This one has the manifold vacuum gauge on the console. See that? Three pedals on the floor. It is a manual transmission car.CLICK->

Rear view of this smashed black 1966 GTO. The trunk lid looks to be in pretty good shape. This would be a nice junkyard find. Ever found parts in a junkyard before? It is always an adventure, hauling a big piece of sheetmetal back through the woods to the junkyard office.CLICK->
Trains and cars don't mix. Many times, after impact, a car will get dragged a mile down the road by the train before it can stop.CLICK->
Here's another of Mel Hedrick's old Pontiacs. This 1966 OHC6 Sprint is the remains of a deadly street race when the car was hit in the passenger side sometime in the early 70's. The car has been sitting so long that trees are growing up through the engine compartment.CLICK->

Here's a white 1966 GTO in Mel's yard. This one was used in a Bank robbery in 1969. The robbers didn't get away after slamming the car into a police road block. That is the driver's door being used to prop the car up on its side. Some of the car's underside components have been removed. Someone must have needed the brakes and suspension parts.CLICK->
Front end view of this junker. It is a white 1966 GTO. The bank robbery getaway car. The engine got away.CLICK->
