Jay Bailey sent in these pictures of an xXx movie car on display at the 2003 World of Wheels Car Show in Kansas City, Missouri. Looks like the car is snorting out flames. CLICK->
Looks like it has been "Barris-ized". They take movie cars and sign a promotion contract. They have been known to slap on some extra stickers and signs and then display the cars at exhibitions. This particular car has seen the addition of hood flames and a giant "xXx" logo on the doors. The hood scoop on this car is gigantic. It is scaled much larger than the movie cars.

Another site vistor spotted the 1967 GTO xXx movie car when the Pontiac movie car trailer came to Schwan Pontiac in Bismarck/Mandan, North Dakota in 2004. That might be the 1969 Judge from The Last Ride movie in the background. The guy on the left is probably saying: "What are you DOING dude? You're TOUCHING the car! Haven't you ever been to a car show before? Get offit!" CLICK->
This is the Corvette that smashed into the river gorge. Looks pretty mashed up. The guy who stored the car for the movie company saved the door from this red car. In the xXx movie, Xander Cage parachutes from this convertible as it falls through the air. It was quite a spectacular stunt. CLICK->
This is the Corvette door from the movie xXx. It is one of the only body parts left and saved from the Corvette jump over the Foresthill Bridge. The man in the photo stored the red Corvette before and after the stunt for the movie company. Looks like something you'd see hanging on a wall at a Planet Hollywood. This smashed door was spotted on ebay for $810 and probably sold for more than that. CLICK->
A local paper covered the Corvette stunt as it was being filmed for the xXx movie. They show a sequence of photos detailing the car's fall from the bridge. The stuntman is parachuting from the car as it falls to the ground below. The paper proclaims that the bridge played a "key role" in the movie. CLICK->
This is the ring worn by movie star Vin Diesel in the summer blockbuster xXx. The front of the ring has the xXx logo in gold metal. This was the actual ring worn in the movie by Xander Cage (Vin Diesel). In the lower two views of the ring, you can see the duct tape attached to the ring. A crew member duct taped the ring because it was too large to fit his finger! CLICK->
A "Limited Edition" CD cover. Someone, fill me in on the particulars of this item? CLICK->
This is a photo of the cover of the movie soundtrack CD. It was a 2-disc set featuring tunes by Ramstein, Hatebreed, Orbital, Moby, and some other groups you've probably never heard of. CLICK->
This is a promotional CD single, released before the movie came out. This one features the song called "I will be heard" by the group Hatebreed. CLICK->
One of several magazine covers that hyped the xXx movie right before it came out in the summer of 2002. That summer, you could hardly turn on the TV without hearing some say "Vin Diesel" in an entertainment report. He was hot to trot, and the movie did well at the box office. This is the GQ (Gentleman's Quarterly) issue from August 2002. CLICK->
The promoters of this movie did a heck of a job. There was much pre-promotion to build excitement. This issue was on the stands at the same time the movie came out. It was no accident. Vin Diesel is featured on this Savoy magazine cover shot of the September 2002 issue. CLICK->
Cinescape magazine with bald Vin on the cover, looking tougher than ever. This time, the promoters of the movie even got the magazine to put the "xXx" logo on the cover. He is standing in front of his guest star Asia Argento. Have you seen her tattoo? I'm no fan of tattoos, but hers ain't that bad. CLICK->
Another publication promotes the summer movie. Like the others, it was timed for a summer release, hyping the star of the xXx movie, Vin Diesel. This is Insite Magazine from August of 2002. CLICK->
This is a press kit from the movie xXx starring Vin Diesel as "a new breed of secret agent". It comes in a case, with a book of "production notes" and a CD-ROM. This helped the movie get so much pre-promotion. Even before the movie was in theatres, the press had all this information available to them. Most magazines and TV shows were hyping the movie bigtime as it premiered. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...

Says Paul Alexander Klopf (paul.klopf.@dewr.gov.au) - "I own the Australian version of the new GTO and simply they have nothing on the originals. Thanks for your help mate."
