The 1967 Tempest has some unusual custom hood scoops. They have flames airbrushed on them. CLICK->
What caught my eye about this early-issue 1968 GTO was the Rally 1 wheels. The tires also say "Rallye". That's cool. The car is from Denton Gordon Jr in the state of Virginia. CLICK->
Here's one of the few times you'll get to see a "400" emblem on the rocker panel of a 1968 GTO. Usually, Pontiac reserved those emblems for Firebirds. But a few of the early '68 GTOs did come with "400" emblems from the factory. There were a very small percentage of these cars that came with Rally 1 wheels and "400" emblems. CLICK->
Here is the basic all-black interior on this Automatic car. There is no factory air conditioning. CLICK->
The engine compartment on this 1968 GTO looks almost all stock. The car has no power brakes. CLICK->
The rear of the car has some nice straight lines. Look how good the trunk lid fits. Denton's GTO also has a vintage-looking license plate and a rear-mounted power radio antenna. CLICK->
The sun was shining just right onto this glowing 1968 GTO which was parked in the pits. Man, what a great looking car. I like how the wheels and tires look. I should have written down the sizes of those. Many of you would like to have this tire combo, eh? CLICK->
The owner, based in Maryland, has a unique look for the front of the car. He painted the grilles the same color as the body of the car. Red grilles? I can't look away. The more I stare it it, the more I like it. You know, when William Porter was designing the Endura bumper look for the '68 cars, he was going for an "integrated" look for the front of the car. He wanted the bumper to blend with the front fenders for a seamless flowing streamlined "bullet" design. That's why Porter had the bumper the same color as the fenders. The red colored grilles help the grilles blend into the design more. Not bad! CLICK->
Here's a rear view of the red convertible GTO which is parked in the pits at Summit Motorsports Park. CLICK->
Here's a car from Stan Ubben in Illinois. It is a 1968 GTO with hideaway headlights and Rally wheels. This car won 2nd place in the class called GT-3 for GTOs 1968 - 1969. CLICK->
The 1968 car has been restored with a 1969-style air cleaner. Maybe two snorkels are better than one? CLICK->
You're inside the car. The condition of the dashboard is impressive. This is a manual transmission GTO. CLICK->
Ohio resident Chuck Henley trailered this 1969 GTO Judge over from Uniontown for your inspection. The car carries sponsorship lettering from Ray Faro Pontiac which was based in Elyria, Ohio. CLICK->
This GTO Judge has Ram Air. CLICK->
Looks like a fresh restoration here. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
