The 1966 Tempest carries the logo of a company named Speed Engineering in Lincoln, Nebraska. CLICK->
There were many different types of awards given at this event. New for 2008 were some special awards for drag racers. The one for "Best Appearing Crew" was presented to Kauffman Racing Equipment. "Best Engineered Race car" award went to Doug Hopkins. And the "Best Appearing Race car" prize was won by Alex Tavana.
Here is a 1967 GTO on the showfield at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The car has a 2-tone paint scheme. CLICK->
There is a very clean Tri-Power setup under the hood. The 2-tone paint theme was carried through to the engine compartment. Both the silver and orange colors were used here. The firewall has been smoothed out as well. CLICK->
The interior in this car is a standout. The designs are pretty cool. But I just wish my '68 had built-in cupholders in the console like this car! CLICK->

This 1967 GTO is a striking car. I like the "Addiction" artwork which appears on the front and back of the car. The car is owned by Joe & Gretchen Barber from Pennsylvania. CLICK->
