Taking another look at the front of the concession building while heading back to the GTO with some chow. How much did Mary Ann and I spend on this evening of entertainment? $25 for gasoline, $10 for a large pizza, $3 for warm caramel apple chips with nuts (yum!), $6 for drinks, and $18 in tickets. Total is $62. CLICK->
The movie projectors are housed in the second story of the concession building. It has a projection window on each of its four walls. Up top are four FM antennas, broadcasting a separate sound signal for each of the four screens. CLICK->
Another screen in the background. During customer appreciation night, they had a wheeled "train" for the kids to ride. It was circling the parking lot, seen here in motion.

Walking back to the car with screen #3 in view. We saw "Barnyard" and then "World Trade Center". The Tibbs Drive In is located on Tibbs Avenue on the west side of Indianapolis, just off Interstate 70 exit 77. Admission is 9 dollars for adults. Rating this theater on a five star scale, I'd give them 4 stars for overall appearance/appeal, 5 stars for the snack bar, 4 stars for projection quality & sound, 4 stars for their prices, 5 stars for the restrooms (huge), and 4 stars for their showmanship.
