This is Stanley Kaminski's idea of a good time.
Take a Tri-Power carb setup that's already been burned and melted and then
re-enact the blaze for the camera. Stanley shows us what it might look like
to be close up on a carb fire. Basically, the metal melts like wax and it
gets real ugly. This piece of junk was ignited with the help of some Elmer's
rubber cement. Thanks to Dave Jacobs for supplying the crusty tri-power.The flaming '66 tri-power was actually sold on Ebay in May of 2003. These photos were copied over to the popular online auction site for the sale. Eleven bidders duked it out, with the winning bid at $366.00. According to frequent photo contributor Stan Kaminski, Dave the owner received many emails during the bidding telling him they were the coolest pictures they had ever seen on Ebay. Stan also says Pontiac Enthusiast magazine was interested in running a little story on this unusual auction. It's rumored that the buyer may install the intake on his GTO. CLICK->
