Don't tell these Pontiac owners the brand is dead! Walking through the convention center hallway was this blowup of a newspaper article. The Dayton Daily News was covering the convention and did a nice article with photos. The Greene County Convention & Visitors Bureau staff posted this on the wall for all to see. The friendly bureau staff was on hand throughout the meet at the registration table to provide helpful area maps and assistance to all visitors. CLICK->
This is a 1963 Tempest. Looking at the bumper and valance panel design, it has a LOT in common with the 1964 1/2 Mustang that followed it a year and a half later. CLICK->
This is a historic racer, a 1963 Tempest SD car with a 421 in it. CLICK->

This car was "Picture of the Week" on 7/19/09. Here we have a good looking 1964 GTO that was parked along the sidewalk at the Nutter Center. It was in the packed "Display Only" lot along with many other cars. Everyone whom arrived at the show without pre-registering was assigned to this same "Display Only" lot. CLICK->

Here is a red '67 GTO with side pipes. The thing that catches the eye is the giant tiger on the roof. That, and the thing stuck in the bumper. Gotta get a closer look at that. CLICK->
Oh I see, it's two more tigers. So this car has two things going for it, toughness and cuteness. CLICK->
Fellow Indy GTO Association member Rick Riggs has the yellow car. CLICK->
Don't vote for the UltimateGTO.com car. It is parked in the "Display Only" lot. This year I'm running taller wheels in the back - and I think I like the look better. The fronts are 14" while the rears are 15" with a taller tire. Or I might switch to a 15" and 16" combo if people keep giving me free wheels. CLICK->
Manny sent me this photo where's he's posing with the UltimateGTO.com car. He couldn't find me at the show that day, but he spotted the car, one of the few white '68s on the grounds. CLICK->
Okay, here's the first bi-plane to be seen on UltimateGTO.com. There's a reason for this. The Nutter Center and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base are situated in the birthplace of aviation. Anyway, ya know, the Wright Brothers and all. The bi-plane was circling the car display lots at low altitude and people were taking photos of it. No word on if the plane is Pontiac powered?
Here's a comment from a recent visitor...
Says Sid Clevinger M.D. (DOCCLEV.@aol.com) - "I have a 1970 Judge (Orbit Orange). I was looking for a picture to use as wallpaper on my screen. I found a great 1970 Orbit Orange Judge emblem from a side view. Thank you for your hard work in the creation of this site."
