Triple black 1969 GTO convertible with the optional cornering lamps. See them ahead of the front wheels on the fenders. They turn on (steady) when the directional and headlights are on. The idea is to light up the corner you are turning into. Photo by Don Barr. CLICK->

Paul Sanders snapped this picture of a Pepper Green 1970 GTO hardtop. Keith told Paul he bought the car in 1974 and he was already the 4th owner. After decoding his data plate, he found out the car originally was a triple green car. He talked to the 3rd owner and he said it already had a black top when he bought it in 1972. Keith said the dealer may have changed it to black to try to help sell the car when it was new. CLICK->
Keith Rossell snapped this picture of his Bermuda Blue 1970 GTO. He wishes to thank his wife and kids who rode the 5 and 1/2 hours it took to get to Columbus, Ohio on the back roads of Ohio and Indiana. CLICK->

Richard & Nancy Whaley brought two cars. This is their black 1974 GTO. Next it is their 1970 Judge! See how the sign for the 1974 says "Special Paint (Black)" That is because the 1974 GTO wasn't offered in black as a standard color. To get black you had to special order the car! This shot was taken by Paul Sanders. CLICK->
It is Concours judging time. Richard & Nancy Whaley's triple black 1974 GTO is undergoing the scrutiny of the judging team. This takes place under the covered entrance to the host hotel at the convention. Photo by Don Barr.
