Wilderness Green 1972 GTO Sport Coupe, rear end view. The 1970 and 1971 GTOs had holes in the rear valance for the pipes to exit. In 1972 the exhaust tips exited to the sides behind the rear wheels. The owner of this car has arranged his to point out the back under the bumper. CLICK->
The decal on the rear quarter tells us that there is a 455 HO engine under the hood. CLICK->
This is unusual. It has a bench seat and a floor shift manual transmission. CLICK->
Here is a shot of the 455 HO engine under the hood. CLICK->
This is the optional trunk light. The light turns on when the bent piece of wire rotates up with the hinge when the trunk opens. CLICK->
Stripes down the sides of two 1972 GTOs. CLICK->
These 1972 GTOs have stripes. CLICK->
This was the only 1974 GTO at the 2006 GTOAA convention. CLICK->
Another shot of this 1974 GTO. It has a bright red interior. CLICK->
Here is a unique 2004 GTO. It was one of the cars from the Pontiac collection. It is the first production 2004 GTO. Or at least that is what it said on the window. It says, "First Built" in the lower right corner of the windshield. CLICK->
A shot of the First Built 2004 GTO in the sun light later in the week. This may also be the first GTO off the first cargo ship back in the late fall of 2003! Click here to see a picture of the car driving off the ship. CLICK->
If this is the First Built 2004 GTO, this would be the lowest VIN number. The VIN is 6G2VX12GX4L167592. The sequential body part is after the L. You shouldn't find another 2004 GTO with a lower number than 167592. The digit before the L is the year - 4 for 2004. The digit before the year is strange. It is susposed to be a security number from 0-9. This VIN has an X as the security number. So there is something unique about this one. CLICK->
Another shot of the first built 2004 GTO. No one knows if the first 1964 GTO is still around. Here is a link to it's build sheet. CLICK->
A blue tiger was eaten by this Impulse Blue 2004 GTO. CLICK->
There was a blue tiger driving the 2004 Impulse Blue GTO too. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
