What a hot day. But this was a cool looking blue 1968 GTO hardtop with a white vinyl top. It has the fixed headlights. CLICK->
This blue 1968 GTO has white seats and a black dash and carpets. They never made a white interior that did not have these black accents. Can you imagine white carpets in a car? It would have been way too hard to keep clean. This one also has the Hurst Dual Gate Shifter. CLICK->
Yet another super looking engine compartment. This one has the vintage battery with the caps that you fill with water. CLICK->
Take a look at this stock Palladium Silver 1969 GTO hardtop. It has fixed headlights and hub caps. CLICK->

Jeff Klein's Midnight Green 1969 GTO hardtop makes it's first appearance at a GTOAA National Convention. Jeff added a window sticker to commemorate the event. The goat next to it is a Verdoro Green 1968. Here you can really see the difference between the two greens. CLICK->
Midnight Green 1969 GTO hardtop, right rear view. Midnight Green was the darkest of three greens offered in 1969. Jeff's stock chrome exhaust tips point in the correct direction CLICK->
Here is the interior in Jeff's Midnight Green 1969 GTO. Jeff comments, "In preparation for the drive to the show, I replaced the blown front speaker connected to the stock AM/FM radio. I also added a new radio with CD in the glove compartment. I mounted 4 inch speakers to the front of the bucket seats at the floor. They are invisible. I burnt a CD with all the GTO promotional songs I could find. Unfortunatly, the sound from I-270 was so loud I could not play the CD during the show. However, I just realized that I can now take this car to a drive-in theater - because the radio(s) work!" The dash cover isn't there to protect the dash from the damaging rays of the sun. It's there to cover the huge cracks in the dash which already occured from the sun. Jeff has since replaced his dash. We have this process documented in our Text Topics #36 - Dash Repair article. Jim Wangers signs the radiator support in Jeff's Midnight Green 1969 GTO. Jim played an important role in the development of the GTO through the years and did many of the advertisements of the era. He attends many of the GTO events across the country. He signed many GTOs while at the 2005 GTOAA Convention. CLICK->
Jim likes to sign more than just his name. Here is what he wrote on Jeff's radiator support. He used a silver paint pen which he usually carries with him.
