Blue 1967 GTO convertible, left side view. This is one nice convertible. CLICK->
Alpine Blue 1968 GTO hardtop owned by Ed Raden from Downers Grove, Illinois. This one has hub caps with the rims painted Alpine Blue as well. See the minivan next to this GTO? The stock 68-69 class included a minivan and a Saturn. It is very unusual for the organizers of a major car show to allow civilian cars to be parked within the show area. Show participants seemed angry at the presence of these "normal" cars. CLICK->
Alpine Blue 1968 GTO hardtop, rear end view. On the left is the minivan that somehow escaped the attention of a tow truck. CLICK->
Ed's Alpine Blue 1968 GTO hardtop has the 4-speed manual transmission and center console. CLICK->
Alpine Blue 1968 GTO hardtop, engine view. Very clean! CLICK->
Take a look at this red 1968 GTO wagon. If Pontiac ever made a GTO wagon, it would have certainly looked like this one. CLICK->
Another shot of this red 1968 GTO wagon. This one has some great options: cornering lamps, hood tach, redline tires, and Rally I wheels. CLICK->
If you are unable to bring your GTO to the convention, how about renting one? This yellow 1968 GTO hardtop is available from a rental company called Classic Cars. CLICK->
Yellow 1968 GTO hardtop, left side view. Pontiac brought their fleet of historical Pontiacs. You can see their tent in the background. CLICK->
This gold 1968 GTO hardtop was in the concours judged class. It has a black vinyl top and hideaway headlights. CLICK->
The engine is equally impressive as the outside. CLICK->
This white 1968 GTO hardtop was also in the concours judging area. CLICK->
We got a cool Hurst Dual Gate shifter in this one. It was also known as the His n Hers Shifter. She can pull the lever straight back into drive for the automatic shifting of the transmission. He can pull the lever back and to the right to enter another gate where the individual gears can be selected one at a time at will. This rightside gate can be used as a slapstick shifter. The stick can be "slapped" up and to the right, advancing one gear up each time you slap it. Many owners of these cars do not even realize they have the slapstick capability, missing out on some rip-roaring fun! CLICK->
Let's peek at this super clean engine compartment. CLICK->
Green 1968 GTO hardtop with the rare Endura Delete chrome bumper. This chrome bumper was an option only on the 1968 GTO. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
