Red 1969 Custom S charging down the track. I modified the photo so it looks like one of those wacky car-toon distorted drawings. Everything is slanting forward, going fast!

Take a look at this! No, this is not a picture of loading the historic "Last Royal Bobcat GTO" on a trailer. It's being maneuvered down the hallway of the Marriott to be placed in the big convention room. You should have seen them fit it in the elevator.

Saturday night was cruise night. This is the Vinsetta Garage on Woodward Avenue. These pictures were sent in by the GTO Club of Central Ohio. The GTOACO cars include Dan Gregory's 66 GTO (DJ GTO's), Pete Landis' 69 Judge, Lonnie McClaughlin's 69 convertible and Joe and Renda Bennett's 65 hardtop. This is the spot where Pontiac took a picture of their 1999 concept GTO sitting next to a 1969 Judge. Click here to see it.

Here's the group making the famous turn on Woodward with Lonnie McClaughlin in the 69 convertible, Ron and Pete Landis in the Judge, and Ron Cozzo in the 67 GTO hardtop. Click here to see a rendering of the ad which made this turn-around famous.

A shot out of the back of Lonnie McClaughlin's 69 convertible. That's Doug Boyle in his 1963 Tri-Power 4-speed off to the right.

Sean stands and admires a Palisade Green 1970 GTO hardtop. It's hard to see, but this one had a 68 style Ram Air II air cleaner housing. Those UltimateGTO.com "Staff" shirts are not sold in stores!

Clean Palisade Green 1970 GTO hardtop, right rear view. At this car show, the smell of fresh car wax was in the air. The Cragars are sparkling in the July sunshine.

This white 1970 GTO hardtop has the Sport Stripe option. The Sport Stripe is really just the 1969 Judge Stripe that could be ordered again in 1970.

A black 1971 1/2 GT-37, a bronze 1971 T-37, and a red 1970 1/2 GT-37. The Red 1970 1/2 GT-37 is owned by Steve Bothwell. He bought it new in 1970 and has owned it ever since. You can see more pictures of Steve's red 1970 GT-37 with the help of the Advanced Picture Searcher. Pontiac had T-37s and GT-37s in both the hardtop and sport coupe body styles for both 1970 and 1971. The 37 stands for the hardtop body style which is part of the Vehicle Identification Number VIN. Pontiac had considered calling the sport coupe version the T-27 and GT-27 (27 is the sport coupe body style), but they thought it was too confusing.

This black 1970 Judge was raced at the nearby Lapeer Dragway on Saturday during the 2004 GTOAA International Convention. As you can tell from the window, it qualified at 11.75 seconds in the quarter mile.
