Tom Malone owns this two tone Cyclone Gray over Quicksilver 2005 GTO with a set of custom hood scoops. He calls it a GTO Shark. He used a stock hood to attach these functional hood scoops. He has cold air induction on the engine to breathe through them. He moved the window washer ports to the wiper assemblies. He fabricated custom billet (grilles) for the hood scoops which match the bumper grilles he purchased. He says the cost for the custom work was $2,000. CLICK->
Front end view of Tom's 2005 GTO. Here you can see the radical work that was performed on the taller than stock hood scoops. The horizontal trim pieces in the scoop openings match the trim on the rest of the front end openings. CLICK->

Quicksilver 2005 GTO owned by Robert Holden Jr. from Janesville, Wisconsin. Roberts tells us more, "I purchased it used (4,700 mi) in December 2006. Love & HATE it. I use it as a work car. It gets 20 mpg every tank. I use mid-grade and premium in the summer, spring and fall. I use mid-grade and reg during the winter. I don't drive it very hard. I'm 61 years old and have a HOT Rod 79 Malibu 406' road car with 500+ lbs of
torque. The Malibu runs 12.5s with 3.08 rear thru the mufflers and has air conditioning. I put 10,000 miles on the GTO during 06 and ate the rear tires on the very inside edge. Has anybody had any luck with rear camber adjusters? They are unadjustable from the factory!" CLICK->

Robert adds, "The GTO is stock except I removed the rear shelf [spoiler] and I also replaced the rear bumper cover with the Holden unit. I didn't want to advertise to every one I pass that it's a GTO." CLICK->
Here are some updated pictures of Robert Holden's 2005 GTO. He has changed out the Pontiac emblem on the trunk lid in favor of a Holden emblem. Robert adds, "Since my first submittal, I've installed King std height rear springs and ecentric bushings in the rear control arms. Negative rear camber was reduced from non-adjustable factory setting of -1.44 degrees to -0.63 degrees. I went to Byron drag way May 17th: first pass 13:426 @ 104.54 and back up was 13:495 @ 102.07. I ran with traction control ON both runs." CLICK->
Quicksilver 2005 GTO, rear end view. In this shot you can see that Robert also changed the rear lower bumper for a Holden unit without the GTO embossed name in it. Is that a hole in the center for a trailer hitch? CLICK->

Here Robert is at the Byron drag way in Illinois. His first pass was 13:426 @ 104.54mph and his second was 13:495 @ 102.07mph. He's matched up against an orange 2006 GTO. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
Here's a comment from a recent visitor...
Says Bob Branson (kbrat.@adelphia.net) - "I have a 67 GTO which I haven't driven for a month, I refuse to drive on salty roads. Your site is helping me break my cabin fever. Keep up the good work."
