Site visitor, JoeyD, shares with us pictures of a Phantom Black 2005 GTO with many of the Sport Appearance Package (SAP) option body pieces. He found it at Red Hoagland Pontiac/GMC in Bradenton, Florida. From this angle the SAP front fascia (below the front grilles) can be seen. CLICK->
In the rear we have the SAP fascia below the bumper line. It includes splitters for the exhaust tips. This one has the normal rear trunk spoiler. The SAP version is taller. CLICK->
The lower rocker panels are changed with ones that have vents behind the front wheels. CLICK->
The vents are on both sides. Here you can see the GTO emblem on the front brake calipers. CLICK->
Here is an interesting decal. The suspension is tied down during transit. These blocks must be removed before driving. I wonder if this one still have the blocks. CLICK->
The SAP options are dealer installed. Since the first picture was taken, these silver SAP recessed grilles have been added. CLICK->

Torrid Red 2005 GTO owned by Chuck Hay from San Diego, California. It's parked next to his Matador Red 1969 GTO hardtop. Chick here to see more pictures of the 1969 GTO with the Advanced Picture Searcher loaded with year=1969, model=GTO, owner=Chuck Hay. Chuck tells us more about his 2005 GTO, "This 2005 is my 4th GOAT and shows along side my pride and joy 69 Matador Red hardtop. The 05 performance enhancements were done through local performance header manufacturer JBA. Using the JBA Shorty headers for the LS2 GTO and low resistance ignition wires also by JBA increased rear wheel horse power and torque by 6 to 8 % or 20 to 24 hp and # torque while remaining warranty and EPA friendly."
Cosmetics were limited to a recessed grille. Nothing more seems to be needed. This is a totally enjoyable ride and critics be darned, This Car Rocks in the great tradition of the GTO. PICTURE SET CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ...
