That is Jesse Byrd launching his 1972 LeMans hardtop at a local drag strip. Jesse adds, "I bought the car ten years ago. It has had three different motors; an Olds 455, 496 chevy, and a 572 chevy. This car only goes to the drag strip. Its best pass to date is 9.003 at 149mph. Its best 60 foot time is 1.28 seconds. It started as a LeMans Sport but now has a gto fiberglass tilt front end and fiberglass doors, bumpers, and deck lid." Do you like wheel stands? Light green 1972 Luxury LeMans hardtop owned by Jacqueline, Rob, and Angel from Holland The Netherlands. This was our Picture Of The Week for 2-10-08. Rob tells us more, "I got the car now almost seven months ago. The Pontiac is fully restored with some nice 18-inch American Racing rims. The motor is a V8 400cui 6.6L, automatic. It has some Edelbrock parts, power steering, and disc brakes, double steel exhaust with Flowmasters." CLICK->
