Updated pictures of Paul Salow's Cardinal Red 1972 GTO hardtop. Paul swapped out the Cragar wheels for a set of 17 inch American Racing Torq-Thrust II rims. He has new drilled/slotted rotors, with new red painted calipers. Paul says that the car stops real well now. CLICK->

Paul turns his attention under the hood. Paul explains, "I just had the engine detailed. This included painting the engine block, underside of the hood, and surrounding areas. Added new chrome alternator, and new stickers. A neighbor did this for me. The blue color is different than what I had before, which was a gray blue. Now it's the correct 'baby blue' Pontiac blue which was used from years 71 thru 73. (from what I can tell from researching it. Correct me if I'm wrong)." CLICK->

Turns out, the original carpet was just that, the original carpet that came with the car, 39 years old! Guess it was time. I was nervous changing to red, but thought it was time for a change in look, and why not? It's not an original color for 72. It was available in 70 and prior... as well as 73 and 74. The red carpet is a lot more flashy than the black, and it gives my car a mild resto-mod look... that, and
the wheels. Also note that I had new black armrests installed, front and rear. Also for a different look, and that I couldn't get white from Original Parts Group." CLICK->

Says Tom Harold (harold2.@iquest.net) - "It's pretty kickass. The Picture Searcher is one of the coolest features of any site I have visited regardless of subject matter."
