This is a very rare Goat! It's a Wilderness Green 1972 GTO Sport Coupe. Pontiac only made 134 GTOs with the Sport Coupe body style. This style has a solid post between the front and rear quarter glass. It also has triangle vent windows in the doors. The last time the GTO was offered in the Sport Coupe body was back in 1967. This GTO does not have the bright reveal moldings around the windows or the vent windows. Notice anything strange about the windshield wipers? They are not hidden (or parked on the cowl). Yes, this option was not selected either. It does has the optional D98 Rally Stripe.

Wilderness Green 1972 GTO Sport Coupe, left rear view. This car was featured in the Dec/Jan 2004 issue of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine, under an article titled 'Weird Science'. The article talked of the strangness of this body style and how this car is optioned. It was originally purchased in North Carolina. It went to the west coast with the second owner who owned it for 20 years. The current owner bought it in 2002 and (as of 2005) lives in Florida.

I have never seen a cloth seat with a mixture of colors like this. It's got the beige cloth in the center and green Morrokide around the edges. They are usually the same color. The cloth could have been replaced, but if so - it was replaced with the correct patterned material.

The rear seats of this Wilderness Green 1972 GTO Sport Coupe also has the strange seat covers.

Silver 1972 LeMans hardtop owned by Marianne from Alberta Canada. Marianne tells us more, "I bought the car in September 2003 for $2,000 CDN from the original owner’s son. I have spent about $3,500 on it so far on wheels, tires, and miscellaneous small repairs. The next project will be repairing the rust and flaws in the paint (you can't see it in these pictures, but it is starting in the rear quarters and along the trunk lid and the small panel under the bumper needs to be replaced.) There also are some tiny bubbles starting to appear in the paint on the hood. It runs and drives excellent though and contains the original 350 2bbl engine."
