It's a good idea to use junk tires and wheels when you paint. It looks good Michael. Michael fills us in, "I am in the process of converting to floor shift/bucket seat car and changing to a white interior. I have the brackets pretty much welded in. I need to put the dash and steering column back in and then when the car gets painted put everything back together. In the garage I have a 400/TH400 awaiting a swap for the 350. Probably going to do that before it gets painted since less chance of scratches. The Rally IIs I sandblasted during some free time during my Auto Classes at school and some BFG Radial TAs will go on them. Can't wait to drive her."

Michael's been reworking the engine in his 1972 LeMans project. Michael tells us about it, "I built the engine myself, with help degreeing in the cam from Pontiac engine builder, Steve Scobbee. I changed to the earlier year paint color. It has 6x heads, Crane Cam .480/.480 lift/228 degrees duration, Torker Intake, Holley 750 Carb, 2" Headers and HEI distributor with MSD coil will be added when installed. A TH400 with a B&M shift kit will be behind it."

White 1972 LeMans owned by Mike Kaczmarek from Florida. He traded an 85 Mustang 5.0 for this GTO clone. I say, "Good Trade!" He's rebuilt the turbo 400 with shift kit and the 400 YT engine with a crank kit, Edelbrock everything and roller rockers. Mike says that she'll smoke the tires in first and second gears. He's got an interesting engine block color.

1972 El GTO is an El Camino with a GTO front end from Fred Schramm, Pontiac Power web site at http://www.pontiacpower.net. This vehicle is owned and built by Edward Schnabel. It was featured in High Performance Pontiac. He says he might send in pictures of the whole project of building this vehicle. The blue and gold truck is seen here at a Pontiac car show in New Hampshire. It has a 455 tri-power which was built by Edward as well. His son Paul doesn't remember the actual ET at the track, but he recalled running 13:88 @ 102mph in street trim.
