This 1971 GTO is sitting next to the one in the previous picture. Some work has been done to the door and rear fender. It must have been some time ago, it's sunken into the pasture. I think the missing front fender is inside. CLICK->
A junker 1971 GTO hardtop on a trailer. Maybe someone is going to restore this one. Thanks to Matt Gavigan for all these junker pictures. CLICK->

Blue 1971 GTO hardtop owned by Tom St. Clair from Mooresville, North Carolina. Tom tells us more, "This is my project '71 GTO. The exterior will be white when finished. I traded an '84 restored Monte Carlo SS for this car and sold an '85 Monte Carlo SS show car to fund this endevor. I was about 15 when I saw a friend's brother bring home a '72 LeMans that quickly became a GTO and I was hooked ever since. My 2nd car was a '66 Sprint and have had a '66 LeMans, and a '65 GTO. My curent daily driver is a '92 Bonneville, and my wife Tina has a '98 Grand Prix, and now a '71 GTO. We are a three Pontiac family." CLICK->

Tom's been working on his 1971 GTO. Tom tells us about his work, "New brakes, exhaust, paint & stripes, interior from headliner to carpet, 4 point roll bar, full Simpson belts, fresh 400 w/turbo 400 trans, wheels and tires. Not much hasn't been gone through. Future plans are a full frame-off restore (in a couple of years). I got to enjoy it for awile. I upgraded suspension to Hotchkis control arms, springs, and bushings. Rear disc brakes may even find their way into this project." Take a look at the rightside of the photo. This car has the rare Flagspoiler option. My work truck has the FlagWindow option. Just kidding, not that funny. CLICK->
Another view of Tom's white 1971 GTO from the left rear. Tom continues, "I have owned Pontiacs previously: 65 GTO, 66 Sprint, and a 67 LeMans. My first real job was at a Pontiac Dealer back in the 70's. I've owned a lot of cars and trucks (aprox. 78) in my 48 years but always come back to Pontiac. Still the best. Forget the rest!" CLICK->

Says Frank (MCoppolillo.@hotmail.com) - "I enjoy the restoration progress pics. I have wanted a "goat" or "Le Mans" since I was a kid. This site helps with ideas for colors, and quality of other cars. Like the junker pics."
