What do you get when you put six barrels on a 1969 GTO? You get fast. These photos were taken in the winter of '84 / '85. Steve is in the picture. The car had Cragars, a 389 engine, and close-ratio 4 speed transmission. CLICK->
This 1969 GTO sat all alone. The gold hardtop is wrecked. The front bumper is gone. We would all love to spot one of these in a junkyard. The parts are ripe for the pickin'. CLICK->
The Eastwood Company sells excellent restoration tools and supplies. In one of their 1997 catalogs, they used a green 1969 GTO for a cover shot. CLICK->
This is how the car appears on the inside of the Eastwood catalog. Check out their line of fine products. Of particular interest to GTO restorers would be their natural-finish paints that give metal that non-painted look. They have a cool paint kit that can be used to make a brake power booster look like factory cadmium plating. CLICK->
Frank Messick poses beside his 1969 GTO hardtop. This picture was snapped at Maplegrove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania on August 17th, 1997. The photo was mailed in by Stan Kaminski. CLICK->
Kurt Robertson launches his 1969 GTO into space. This is a black and white photocopy showing the fun he was having at the 1997 Pure Stock Musclecar drag race at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex. What was Kurt's best time? 13.95 seconds through the quarter mile at 101.36 miles per hour. CLICK->
Here we hop inside Kurt's GTO. He is keeping everything stock. The car rolled off the assembly line in Fremont California. He is the 4th owner, installing a 400 engine rebuilt to Ram Air III specs in 1992. CLICK->
Kurt's GTO is painted Palladium Silver with PPG basecoat/clearcoat system in 1992. CLICK->
One last view of Kurt Robertson's car. He is an annual participant at the Domino's Farms show in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has been to three of the Woodward Dream Cruises, getting maximum driving excitement! CLICK->
Joe Manno from Saint Louis, Missouri has this 1969 GTO with a 1973 455 engine. He has a 400 engine on a stand in the garage for safekeeping. This car has racing springs that make it lower. The 455 has been bored .030, 6X heads milled to 92 cc, Ram Air 4 cam put in at 104 degrees, 1.65 roller rockers, performer intake, 750 dual pump Holley carburetor, and 4 speed with 3:55 gears. This LeMans was sent in by Chris "Wild Thing" Traugh. The car was bought in the spring of `96 and is now being restored. There will be a bunch of custom tricks done and he hopes for it to go 10's in the 1/4 mile, and still be streetable. Visit his web site at: http://members.aol.com/lemans101/Page1.html CLICK->

It's Goldenrod Yellow with black vinyl top. When it was new, the car came from a dealership in San Diego, California. Next, it was owned by people in Chino, California. Next, it made its way to Harlingen in the Netherlands. If your car is also Goldenrod Yellow, email gto69@xs4all.nl CLICK->
