Jeff McFadden just purchased this red 1969 LeMans hardtop (March 2007). Looks like he has already started the restoration process. Jeff comments, "It belonged to an elderly lady. She sold it to someone who wanted it for his daughter. The daughter never drove it and it sat for a couple of years. It needs help but I am in it for the long haul. It's a shame that good old cars like these are being left to rust away. I'm going to repaint it and redo the interior."

Blown 1969 GTO hardtop owned by Timo Kokkonen from Stockholm, Sweden. Timo tells us more, "This car sold new in Sweden 1969. It is now equipped with a Dyer supercharged 400ci, M-40 (A-1), 10-bolt for the street. With 600 hp the ten bolt rear has plenty to handle if the tyres get sticky. With the old '69 400ci (#62 heads), M-40 and 4.33:1 gears it went 13.45 seconds. The supercharged 400ci engine is designed by Lennart Pettersson with most parts from JBP. It is built by Värmdö Motorteknik and dynoed by Jari Konola in Stockholm. He is a Mopar Pro Stock engine builder/driver and 'The Mechanic of The Year' in Sweden (all motorsports included) a few years ago. Also - special thanks to: Lennart Pettersson, Jimmy Klavoniemi and Pasi Seppänen."

Crystal Turquoise 1969 GTO hardtop owned by Mark Puzo from Longmont, Colorado. Mark had this to share, "My wife bought this car out of a field for my 50th birthday. The previous owners had used as a parts car to do a restoration on another GTO. Anyone that would strip out a perfectly good GTO and use it for parts cannot be a true fan of the car - just wanting to turn a buck. I am about two years into a four year project. I am still looking for hideaway headlight parts. I will replace the interior over the winter."

He has a Phantom Black 2004 GTO with the 6-speed manual. And he has a white 1969 GTO hardtop with an automatic. Let's hope Mike sends in some detailed shots of each!

NEW POST Verdoro Green 1969 GTO hardtop owned by Steve and Faylin Myhre from Abercrombie, North Dakota. Steve has this story to share, "The year was 1975, I was 16 years old, and lucky me my first car was a '68 Verdoro Green GTO. I sold that car for $1,000 and bought a '69 Verdoro Green GTO with a black vinyl top in 1976. Two years later, sold my '69 (which was in great condition) for another $1,000. Fast forward to August 2002, I purchase my current '69 GTO which is exactly like my old '69 Goat minus the hideaway headlights. I bought the car as a 'fixer-upper' for $3,700. My GTO has a 400 engine with a mild cam, headers with Magna Flows, 4bbl. carb, 4 speed trans, Rally gauges with the in-dash tach, and Rally IIs. I have had the car on the road for a few years now and I am enjoying driving a great American muscle car again."
