This 1968 LeMans is from Charles Johnson in Moody, Alabama. He says the car has a 350 engine, just over 100,000 miles, Solar Red paint with Parchment seats and convertible top. Everything but the add-on air, radio, and steering wheel cover is original. Some minor rust, but she drives like a dream. Charles named the car Beverly (named after the original owner) whom he bought the car from. CLICK->
Pontiac had some beautifully drawn advertisements. Take a look at this ad featuring a green 1968 GTO. The Wide-Tracking theme was prominent. They made the cars look very attractive and luxurious. Most ads show a young guy who is obviously lucky to have such a car. It also appears that the car is a magnet for young ladies. CLICK->

1968 GTO - A project car. I'd like to have that new hood for my car! Who sent this picture in? CLICK->
A hood tach is a popular accessory to add to a GTO. If you order one of these through mail order, ask them to also send you a template. They'll send you a piece of paper that shows the exact dimensions to cut the hole in your hood. The most common method is to use a new 4" holesaw on a drill. A new saw will make a nice round hole in a matter of seconds.
