Craig Selvey from Albany, Indiana snapped these photos of a 1968 GTO. He was traveling through the state taking pictures of cars for his employer, Indiana Auto & RV. They put out a fine publication full of cars for sale each week. Best of all, it's FREE. This car was sitting in a parking lot somewhere. CLICK->

These next photos are not for the squeamish. If you are frightened by the sight of a neglected disabled 1968 GTO convertible, turn back! The current owner of this car found it in the garage of an abandoned house. He checked this web site and verified the car was a GTO. He then rescued this hulk and shoved it over to his house. Stephen Miller (Crosley@webtv.net) tells us about the first photo: "The right front tire was the only one with air in it. Notice the red tube at the bottom of the windshield? That's lipstick! Not my color!" CLICK->

Abandoned 1968 GTO, picture #3 found by Stephen Miller. Steve is optimistic about restoring this heap. He says: "Pretty hard to steer! All the gauges are there!" CLICK->
We continue staring at Stephen Miller's torn-up 1968 GTO. Can you tell this car has been sitting outside for a long time? The top wore out. Then the tarp covering the top wore out. About the first photo, Stephen says: "The back end didn't even have rims! Notice - No rust holes in the body." CLICK->
Abandoned 1968 GTO, picture #5 found by Stephen Miller. The transmission is inside the trunk. You have to shift it from the back seat. In case he gets in over his head on this restoration, there is a life preserver in the trunk. CLICK->

Abandoned 1968 GTO, picture #8 found by Stephen Miller. This photo shows the rear of his GTO in need of repair. He says: "Eek! Look at the trash, the transmission, the humanity!" I hope I was right to advise Stephen to drag this car home. Maybe you web site visitors in Buffalo New York can offer Stephen a hand. Or maybe just offer him some words of encouragement at Crosley@webtv.net CLICK->
Larry Rawlings sent in this 1968 GTO convertible. This was one of the Pontiac promotional posters available in 1968 called Breakaway posters. CLICK->

Says Christopher Yogeswaren (nin4life2000.@yahoo.com) - "I came to the website knowing little to verrry little about Tempests and GTO's and left being able to tell the difference between Ram Air III and Ram Air IV. ;]"
